Sutori

Sutori is a “collaborative instructional and presentation tool for the classroom.” It can be used as an alternative to traditional presentations such as PowerPoint or Prezi. The stories can be viewed one panel at a time, like a slideshow, or scrolled through, like a timeline. Sutori is made for student-centered classrooms, since it requires students to be engaged in putting many resources together. Also, teachers can use Sutori to create linear presentations that students will view in class or at their own pace.

Seesaw

Seesaw is an app that allows students and teachers to record and share their works in the classroom. Students can record their voices, add texts and add drawing on their works while working on them and then share them with their teachers and parents.  Seesaw also helps parents get to see what students do in the classroom. Also, the teacher can send digital notes and reminders. By using Seesaw parents stay up to date. When it comes to teachers Seesaw allows teachers to see if students miss anything by listening their recordings.

Virtual Reality: VR

  Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds. By simulating as many senses as possible, such as vision, hearing, touch, even smell, the computer is transformed into a gatekeeper to this artificial world. The only limits to near-real VR experiences are the availability of content and cheap computing power.  Lots of companies started to produce VR headsets such as Google, Oculus, Sony. We can use VR technology in our classes to create a new approach for teaching language.
